Hi Poop. I do believe you are the one who is miserable . You don't
have anything better in your life to do at midnight on a Saturday or Sunday than to spend an hour attacking people
you do not know and who have never done anything to you? I feel so very sorry for you......it would appear that
you are the one who will leave this world "lonely and miserable". Have a nice day!!

have a copy? I am working with a lawyer to see about refunding some of my money that they owe me. Same issues other people
are sharing here. My lawyer requested one from Vector. I also filed a complaint with the MD consumer protection agency. Has
anybody taken them to court? |

would like to add that I feel for you and all of the other Vector Security customers going through the same frustrations.
I am an employee for teh last 4 years. I'd like to mention, that 4 years is a looooong time as most leave well before
that. I have seen, and know of many, many wrong this company is doing. I finally left, and my health is improving. |

that they are the best security company around. They do every hi-risk hi-profile account I can think of (the millionaire club
if you will). they have always been very professional and courteous, however do charge a price for that service if you are
looking for a fly by night free alarm don't contact them however if you want a great alarm co. that puts there customers
first then vector is the one for you. |

submitted on April 27, 2008 10:42 AM EST | Name (Optional): | Fred | Email Address (Optional): | Your Comments: | I had a problem alot like the other guy. A vector associate sold me a service contract
over the phone. I had called for service and was told that if I signed a 3 year service contract for almost 12 bucks a month,
it would cover my whole system- PARTS AND LABOR minus a small "trip charge" Well, the tech comes to look at it and
tells me they can't get the part any longer. He gives me a "quote" of $600.00 to replace it. How about the service
contract I just signed, I ask. Well, it doesn't cover an "obsolete system" He tells me. The guy who sold me
the contract knew what kind of alarm I had when He sold me the contract. Buyer beware of this deal that can only be described
as a scam. |

posting, I have little doubt you are in some way associated with Vector Security. You find a website where people are sharing,
in a mature and civil manner, their experiences as Vector customers; you, on the other hand, do nothing but accuse someone
(although it is not clear who) of being a racist, "rude and nasty" sex offender. Now that's an intelligent response.
As the owner of this site, I am going to leave your posting so that others may see the true nature of a "PROUD VECTOR
ASSOCIATE". |

same voip. when we talked to the sale rep, i was told from my sales rep that voip was no problem. stupidly trusting the rep,
we signed the ridiculous 3 yr contract only to have the technician tell us they do not support voip a week later. during the
first year, the cops had to come out b/c of the nightly tests at 12-3am. in deep sleep we can not hear the beep from the alarm
so the cops were alerted. this was blamed onthe voip. the did something that stopped testing nightly so it was fine after
a while. but without the testing, this basically this means, i dont' know if the system works or not. when i tried to
cancel, i was told it would cost me $400. so i was forced to keep the bad service. recently i have moved my computer to the
basement so the "phone line" was disconnected. for them to come out and run the line from the second floor to the
basement, it's going to cost me roughly $200 for the first 90 minutes. i figure it would cost less to cancel it so i put
in a ticket to have the wire run and at the same time, have someone call me to cancel the service. i should have known to
look for vectorsecuritysucks before signing anything. on a similar note - uhaul-sucks.com was already out there. |

anyone he spoke with at Vector. He also made racial comments to our African-American employees. B. He has made these wild
accusations against Vector Security, in retaliation to us TERMINATING his account for NON-PAYMENT!! C. The last thing is our
recent discovery that this "human being" has recently been added to the Megan's Law website for convicted sex
offenders!! |
| submitted on March 24, 2008 1:58 PM EST | Name (Optional): | Email Address (Optional): | Your Comments: | Other company's have the automatic renewal language but do not hold
the customer past the initial 3 yr term. Companys that offer free install will hold you responsible for the full service agreemnt
if you decide to cancel these companies will useually have a 5 year term of service. companies will connect service to existing
installations as a quick foot in the door. a good point to remember is that technology is always advancing and parts for spares
are only produced so long , in the auto industry I believe its 10 yrs for electronics its far shorter. so if you buy a home
with an existing system find out if the company can support the system if it needs service and get that in writing |

| submitted on March 6, 2008 8:54 AM EST | Name (Optional): | Anna | Email Address (Optional): | consumer@vectorsecuritysucks.com | Your Comments: | To the 'person' on 3-3-2008: You're right, it is a contract, however,
when Vector changes the dates on the fly and does not honor the dates that are PRINTED ON THE CONTRACT and makes up new ones
on the fly, there is clearly a problem. It must be fabulous being as brilliant as you apparently are and living on the fabulous
planet of perfection where you apparently live and all the little idiots do not. What you have failed to note in your arrogant
rant about the stupidity of others, is that the "idiots" you speak of have had numerous other problems and issues
with Vector beyond the contractual. If you have had a different experience with Vector then by all means share it (apparently
you are not even a Vector customer) but do not berate others (actual Vector customers) who wish to share their experiences;
it only shows who the real "idiot" is. |
| submitted on March 3, 2008 8:21 PM EST | Name (Optional): | Email Address (Optional): | Your Comments: | I am right now looking for a new security system and asked Vector for
a quote. I was also fully aware that it was a 3 year contract for monitoring services. It appears that some of you are not
aware that a contract is a written agreement between two parties. You agree to pay them for 3 years and they agree to provide
you the services spelled out in the contract. If you happen to move or leave before the termination of the contract, why should
Vector take the financial hit? Why shouldn't it be my responsibility to pay what I own on the contract for the entire
term of the contract? If I don't pay what I've committed to, then the other party should have the same right. No call-back
on a alarm? Maybe they just decided not to monitor this week - why not if contracts mean nothing?! READ the contract! If you
don't want to have to send letters to a monitoring company to cancel before it automatically renews, then DON"T SIGN!
My daughter's acne medicine automatically renews unless I cancel. My son's X-Box live subscription automatically renews.
I knew this when I signed up for both services. Just because you don't pay attention to what you sign or don't like
the consequences of what you've signed, doesn't mean you should be excused from your responsibility. Bad service is
one thing, but complaining about the contracts you signed is like wearing a sign around your neck begging people to notice
you are an idiot. Unless you were forced to sign at gunpoint, YOU have NO EXCUSE. By the way, I am in NOT associated with
Vector or any other security company. I came here after doing a Google search for Vector. I've also been researching ADT,
Brinks and others. They all have idiots that complain about service contracts. Slomin's Security wanted me to sign a 5
year deal... At least I had the intelligence to say NO and escorted the salesperson out of my home! |

Welcome to Vector Security Sucks.com. This site is born
of my utter frustration as a consumer of Vector Security, Inc.
Below I have detailed my experiences as a customer
of Vector Security, Inc. and it is my hope that other current and prospective customers will learn from my experience
and make a better choice than I did when selecting an alarm monitoring company.
SIGNING UP:
We purchased a home in September 2005 which apparently had an existing Vector Security contract.
When I called
Vector Security to find out about getting service under our name, I was told that they could not even discuss the existing service
with me unless we took over the previous owners contract and in order to do that, I must sign a contract, provided a
credit card number and a social security number. Rather than taking over the remainder of the previous owners contract,
they started a new 2 year contract plus somehow added three months to the contract end date.
ALARM CERTIFICATE:
I contacted Vector Security, Inc. by phone to request an alarm certificate to provide to our insurance agent for
a discount on our homeowners insurance policy.
Weeks and weeks and several phone calls later, I finally received
the certificate.
BILLING: On at
least three occassions during our contract period Vector Security, Inc. has taken my check and cashed it but did not
apply my payment to my account.
When I contacted the Billing department at Vector Security, Inc. they blamed
it on me by accusing me of not putting my account number on the check because Vector can do no wrong. Oh, no
wait, here's the cancelled check and what is that---the correct Vector Security, Inc. account number
written on the check.
On three occasions over two years I have had to dig out the cancelled checks
and repeatedly send them to Vector Security, Inc. to prove my payment and have the money they took from me properly
applied to my account.
THE CONTRACT: After
more than two years and multiple requests, to this day, I never received a copy of my contract with Vector.
With so many problems with Vector Security, Inc. it should not come as any wonder that we wanted to cancel our service.
I called "customer service" in July 2007, and spoke with a extraordinarily nasty incarnation named
Lisa who informed me that we had a two year contract and that in order to cancel, we would have to provide written
notice at least 30 days prior to the renewal date of the Contract.
Three questions to the 'lovely' Lisa:
#1 What is the exact renewal date of the contract? #2 How do I get a copy of my contract (since we never received
a copy in the beginning)? #3 Why is there a two year contract when we were told at service inception that we were only
taking over the remainder of the previous owner's contract?
The lovely Lisa's answers:
#1 October 27, oh no wait, it's December something. Oh, I don't know #2 Uh, I don't know #3
Uh, I don't know
On August 7, 2007 I send a certified letter to Vector Security, Inc. requesting a copy
of my Vector Security, Inc. contract which according to the return receipt was received by Vector Security, Inc. on August
9, 2007. I never did receive a copy of my contract but I did receive a telephone call from a mysterious
woman at Vector Security, Inc. who would not provide her name telling me that our contract renewal date was the first week
in December.
Two questions asked to the mysterous Vector Security Inc. woman:
#1 Why
haven't you sent me a copy of my contract? #2 Why is the renewal date in December when the first date of service
reflected on my bills was October 27, 2005?
Mysterious Vector Security, Inc. woman:
Uhhhhhhhhh.......
CANCELLING THE CONTRACT:
On october 26, 2007 I send a letter via certified mail to both the business/billing office and to the corporate headquarters
of Vector Security, Inc. notifying them that we did not want to renew our service contract upon it's expiration in
December 2007.
As of January 28, 2008, we have never received any communication from Vector Security, Inc. indicating
that our contract has been cancelled and we continue to receive monthly bills.
I have contated Vector Security,Inc.
three times regarding the bill we kept receiving for monitoring service for the month of December 2007. The "billing
department" was always "busy" and "no one was available to review the account" so I left three
messages, two by telephone and one by email regarding that bill. The problem with the bill for service December 1-31,
2007 is that our monitoring service ended on December 8, 2007 and it appeared that Vector would like me to pay for monitoring
even after the service was discontinued and the contract was terminated.
This site is dedicated to customers of Vector Security,
Inc. that have been forced to waste hours and hours of time and dealt with the aggravation that is Vector Security, Inc.
I hope that others will learn from my experiences in order to make an informed choice when it comes to selecting an
alarm monitoring company.
If you too have had an experience you wish to share
on this site, please visit the Guestbook page through the link at the bottom of this page.
Please note that postings will be reviewed and any posting containing obscenities will be edited and/or deleted. Postings
that do not address actual experiences with Vector, good or bad, and serve only to berate others do not deserve to be and
will not remain on this site.
